In October 2001, Singapore Foreign Office was established by iRemit Inc. Majority of the OFWs in Singapore are household or domestic helpers. However, Singapore relaxed its policy on hiring foreign workers and paved way for Filipino skilled workers in the field of information technology, health care and bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing to work there.
